Judge Timothy W. Oakes was elected to Marion Superior Court in 2008. Prior to that, he served as the President and General Counsel of the Indiana Cable Telecommunications Association (ICTA) from March 2004 to December of 2008. Immediately prior to joining ICTA, he practiced law as a solo practitioner for eight years at Oakes Law Office specializing in criminal defense, family law, government affairs and probate. Judge Oakes earned his undergraduate degree in 1986 from Wabash College and he received his J.D. from IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1991. He is an At Large Member on the IndyBar Board of Directors and a past chair of the Litigation Section.
